Our School

Spring Lake Park High School is home to nearly 2,000 students in grades 9-12. Each student is supported on their path to graduation and in creating a plan for what comes next. Through a full range of academic and extracurricular opportunities, panthers connect during and outside the school day.

Through a wide variety of opportunities and choices, student explore. Along the way, they discover their interests, strengths and needs as a learner. We are focused on designing student work that is authentic and applicable to students' lives and interests. Students take many paths to earning 12 college credits by the end of the 12th grade – from AP courses to embedded college courses. They also explore career paths through our Career and College Pathways offerings. More than 80 percent of students are involved in 30 athletic teams and more than 50 student interest-based clubs and activities.

At the high school, our Spring Lake Park Schools' approach to personalized learning comes to life as students take full ownership of their learning. There's flexibility - fully in-person, hybrid, online, co-created courses - to support students in their learning preferences. The goal for each graduate is that they leave high school aware of their strengths, interests and needs as a learner. We want them to be equipped to navigate anything they may encounter.

Special Times:

  • Career and College Pathways represent career paths with a need for future jobs and provide nearly 40 courses for students to test drive a career path and even earn college credit. These opportunities are supported by more than 200 community and industry partners who help bring the learning to life.

  • Students experience at least one proactive planning meeting with their counselor each year (parents are invited!). A 4+ year learning map outlines a student's goals and next steps and is updated annually. We host a variety of family engagement events designed to help students and families explore and plan for what comes after high school graduation.

  • Our students find community through the many athletic and activity offerings built around their interests. These experiences provide the chance to connect beyond the classroom. There is always something happening and Panther pride runs deep at school and in our community.
