Live on 65: Up Close and Personal with The Suits
The "Live on 65" performance series will close its 2025-26 season with The Suits, a Broadway-level musical show with a talented cast of singers. Join us on Monday, May 11, at 7 p.m. in the Spring Lake Park High School Fine Arts Center. Enjoy an evening of Motown, Doo Wop, Pop, and Rock genres. It's four gentlemen, four genres, over four decades!
The Suits presents four dynamic gentlemen and the best songs of the 1950s through the 1980s. These quintessential entertainers fuse smooth choreography and tight harmonies. They have audiences dancing and singing along to Motown, Doo Wop, Rock, and Pop songs. If you enjoyed the Broadway show, “Ain’t Too Proud – The Life and Times of The Temptations,” you may also enjoy The Suits.
Thanks to generous sponsorship from the Spring Lake Park Lion's Club, tickets are priced for the whole family to attend. Tickets can be purchased online or day-of at the box office.
Live on 65: Tell us a little about the show, The Suits.
The Suits: With four singers, The Suits is a fully choreographed show that engages the audience and gets people up and dancing. We keep it family-friendly and explore decades of music, from the 1950s through the 1980s. Our four singers appearing at Live on 65 in Spring Lake Park, are Timothy Brown, Keith Bearden, Brandon Rogers, and Jared Lotz.
Live on 65: What’s currently on the singers’ playlists?
The Suits: Timothy listens to pop and dance music, especially when he’s in the gym, and R&B is his favorite genre. Keith’s music tastes vary greatly, currently with lots of 1980s tunes and acoustic artists. Brandon especially likes Indie folk/rock, and his favorite artists are Lana Del Rey and Stevie Nicks. Jared likes Bruno Mars, and he listens to gospel and 1970s music.
Live on 65: Share a little about how you choose the music for the show.
The Suits: You’ll hear Journey, Bon Jovi, and Doo Wop, and learn where Motown came from—and more. Because we perform coast-to-coast across the U.S. and in Canada, we use custom-produced backing tracks created by our band to ensure a consistent, high-quality sound. Our cast members are professional singers and entertainers, and on stage we perform all vocals live.
Live on 65: Let us in on what makes The Suits special.
The Suits: No matter the audience size, from a small intimate group to 1,500 people, everyone has a good time. It’s our favorite part of every show. The show includes surprise costume changes, and we may have another surprise or two up our sleeves for audience members.
Live on 65: What else might be surprising about the show?
The Suits: Throughout the evening, the audience will get to know each performer and the group as a whole. Interspersed during the performance, the singers also share information and fun facts about themselves and the four music genres they’ll be singing.
Live on 65: Do any of these four gentlemen have a Spring Lake Park or Minnesota connection?
The Suits: Only Brandon Rogers. Some might remember him from the debut of Eoin Colfer’s, “Noël: The Musical,” at The Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. Brandon was part of the original cast.
