Here's what you need to know to make the most of your summer at SLP.
Free meals available this summer
All children in the community ages 1-18 are invited to enjoy free breakfast and lunch this summer—no registration required. Meals will be served in-person at the following locations:
Westwood Intermediate and Middle School
- Dates: June 10-August 21. Meals available Monday-Thursday each week. Closed on June 19.
- Times: Breakfast - 8:15-8:45 a.m.; lunch - noon-1 p.m.
- Entrance: Enter through the front office, check in and proceed to the cafeteria
Park Terrace Elementary
- Dates: July 7-31, Meals available Monday-Thursday each week.
- Times: Breakfast - 9-9:30 a.m.; lunch - 12:30-1 p.m.
- Entrance: Enter through the front office, check in and proceed to the cafeteria

Summer Youth Enrichment Opportunities
We offer a wide variety of camps and clinics for grades K–12. From sports and STEM to art and music, these programs are designed to keep students learning, growing, and having fun all summer long. Spots are still open—browse and register today.
School Supply Lists and Back to School Hub
Get a head start on back-to-school prep. School supply lists will be available the week of June 16. If you're having trouble providing supplies for your student, please reach out to us at SLPComEd@district16.org.
We will publish a back to school hub in August where families can find important information and resources to help you stay on top of your back-to-school to do list and get ready for the 2025-2026 school year.
Contact and Visit Us
The District Services Center (DSC) will have summer hours from June 9-August 1. Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. The building will be closed on June 19 and July 4. Regular hours will resume at the DSC on Monday, August 4, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Families are invited to stop in with any questions to the DSC at 1415 81st Ave NE, Spring Lake Park, MN 55432 or call us at 763-600-5000. You can also submit a question anytime online.
Looking Ahead to Fall
In August, we kick off the new school year. Families of current students can expect to hear from their schools in early to mid-August with information to start the year including Meet and Greet events and other back to school details.
