Counseling
Navigating the academic and social aspects of high school, all while thinking about what you want to do in the future, can be a lot. Counselors are here to help students and their families.
Our counseling team supports the student experience and overall well-being of students with academic planning and support for each student’s social, emotional and behavioral growth and development.
Our goal is for each student to own their own 4-year plan. Counselors are critical partners as students identify what’s next in their learning – in high school and beyond. Counselors meet individually with students to explore their post-secondary options and set goals, determine what courses they need to take and the experiences that best position them to meet their goals.
Our counseling team works proactively to improve student behavior and attendance, encourage healthy choices and create a positive learning environment. When students encounter challenges, counselors work with families to identify the steps to take to help each student succeed and feel positive about their school experience. When students need something more than their counselor can provide, we work with families to identify resources outside our school.
